Good Year ? - The year the Half Crown and Ten Shilling note left our pockets for good, Mr McCartney announces he's left the Beatles for good and Leyland say the Morris Minor will soon be gone for good. Prime Minister Harold Wilson gets egg on his face, literally and metaphorically as Edward Heath wins the election. The Isle of Wight hosts The Who, Joan Baez, The Doors and Jimi Hendrix. A month later Jimi would also be gone for good. A McCartney lawsuit in December means the Beatles were now gone for good as well.
